| Dinner Meeting Speaker: Cassandra Ecker Date: September 20, 2010 Location: Marriott Westshore, 1001 N Westshore Blvd , Tampa FL Event Cost: Chapter Member: $25 National Member: $25 Non-Members and Guests: $30  The Tampa Bay Area Regional Transportation Authority (TBARTA) was created by the Florida Legislature in 2007 to develop a regional, multi-modal transportation Master Plan for Citrus, Hernando, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, and Sarasota Counties. TBARTA’s Board approved its Master Plan in May 2009, creating both a Long-Term Regional Network (a vision leading up to the year 2050) and a Mid-Term Regional Network (an implementation plan leading up to year 2035). In late April 2010, TBARTA merged with Bay Area Commuter Services (formerly known as BACS). With this union, TBARTA now provides commuter options, such as carpool and vanpool matching, and is an implementer of regional transportation solutions in the Tampa Bay area.
