Biographical notes for
MICHELLE THOMAS
Michelle Thomas is the Enterprise Project Management
Practice Director for
Xcelligent, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, providing
synergistic process and
project management solutions to customers in the private and
public sector.
She has designed and managed more than 100 EPM engagements,
including
Microsoft Project Server 2002, 2003, 2007 and 2010. Prior to
joining Xcelligent,
she held director-level positions with several Fortune 500
companies, focusing on
Sarbanes Oxley compliance, Six Sigma, Statistical Process
Control, Business
Scorecard and Process Improvement initiatives.
A proud native of Pittsburgh, Pa, Michelle holds a
bachelor’s degree from the
University of Pennsylvania, performed her graduate work in
statistics and the
SEI-CMM at Carnegie Mellon University and wrote her Master’s
thesis at the
University of Ga. She is currently pursuing doctoral
coursework.
In her free time, Michelle is an avid supporter of animal
rescue and adoption
organizations, including the Humane Society and the ASPCA.
She works to help
rehabilitate, foster and re-train homeless and abused dogs
and cats. She has also
volunteered at the American Red Cross, where as an
undergraduate journalism
student she covered the crash of USAir Flight 427 near Pittsburgh, for which she
wrote and published an article in The Pittsburgh Press.
