About the Speaker: Pandora Ovanessian, CIO
As Chief Information Officer at Golden State Foods (GSF), Ms. Ovanessian managed a global manufacturing and logistic company’s IT operations enabling significant revenue growth of $1.6 to $3.3+ billion and improving profitability. Her responsibilities included strategic planning, leveraging IT for a competitive advantage and implementing technology for quick returns on investments.
As CIO at Alpha Therapeutic Corporation, she led a global IT organization supporting enterprise-wide systems for a biotechnology company and six subsidiaries comprising over 3,000 employees. Technology leader in a highly complex enterprise environment where she was responsible for strategic planning, highly reliable systems and the world’s largest testing laboratory and associated clinical systems.
In 1996, Ms. Ovanessian joined NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory as Division Manager-CIO. She transformed a highly complex business systems environment into the nation’s largest Oracle Applications installation, making it the second largest in the world supporting over 8,000 customers.
Ms. Ovanessian is a graduate in Business and Economics from the University of California at Los Angeles. She later earned a Master of Business Administration specializing in Information Systems from Pepperdine University.
Ms. Ovanessian is published in the May 1999 issue of Oracle’s Profit magazine for her successful launch at JPL. She has also been recognized in the 1999 edition of the International Who’s Who of Information Technology.
